Gospel Singer Evelyn Wanjiru could not hide her emotions when her friends surprised her with a white coloured theme baby shower.
The singer who was then expecting her first child with husband Agundabweni Akweyu was taken by surprise as she was caught unaware of the planned party by her friends. “I was not expecting it. I knew I was coming for an outdoor photo shoot at Asyana Gardens in Rongai and when we arrived here, I saw decorations for a baby shower. I admired it and thought how lucky the mother to be is. Little did I know that it is my baby shower party.” She said.
Evelyn wore a blue long dress accessorised with colourful Maasai jewellery. Her friends and family wore white outfits. The baby shower was organized by her sister in-law Maureen, together with other close friends.
He friends showered her with gifts and each gave their congratulatory speech. Among those in attendance were Evelyn’s mother, Mrs Joy Kimiye, Pastor Zippy, Kanze Dena, Anastasia Mukabwa, Mercy Masika, Lady B, Molly, Peris, Essie, Ebby Nixon, Violet Wanjiru, Hilda Tismo, Sharon, Mercy Pasilio, and Precious.
Last Month, the singer took the internet by storm as she announced her pregnancy. “My heart is full of Joy and gratitude. As I write this, my eyes are full of tears. I have been waiting for this season for 10 years in my marriage. A blessed womb, God has fulfilled His promise in our lives.” She wrote
The singer is now a proud mother of a bouncy baby boy named Mshindi Agundabweni Akweyu.
