Gospel Singer Lady Bee’s 10 Years Journey of Salvation and Ministry
It has been 10 Years since popular Gospel Singer Lady Bee gave her life to Christ and since then, she has never looked back. The singer describes herself as a child of God and minister of the word.
In an interview with Bwenieve Digital, Lady Bee said that her journey of salvation has had ups and downs, but she has put her faith in God. “One of the challenges I faced was losing some friends when I got saved. But I am grateful I have gained some who are supportive.” She said. “I was also used to a lot of money but with the changes in my life, I had to learn to manage my finances and live within my means.” She added with a laugh.
She recently went to a Bible school in Nigeria and said she is waiting for the Lord to reveal to her if she can go on to be a pastor. “I went to the Bible school to know more about God, but I’ll wait on Him to reveal to me the way forward. For now, I’ll keep ministering to people through my music and send them the message of salvation.” She said.
Her songs like Damu Ya Yesu, Roho mtakatifu, Ni Mkuu, Kwa Yesu, just to mention a few all have the message of salvation and worship accompanied with scriptures from the Bible. When asked about the inspiration behind her music, Lady Bee mentioned that it was because God saved her from drowning into sin and she hopes her music can change someone who is in a similar situation as she was in 10 Years ago. “I used to smoke weed and not care of anything but when Jesus came to my life, everything became clear and I am now happy.”
This year she is planning to release more inspiring music and work on her EP. She also runs an initiative dubbed ‘Yesu Anaweza’ where they carry out crusades in various parts of the Country. This years’ theme will be #Peace, and will advocate on a peaceful election followed by a prayer rally.
She also enjoys a close relationship with her daughter and she doesn’t shun away from showing them enjoying each others company on social media. She said that during her days when she was growing up, parenting methods were different and parents were not approachable. “I wanted my daughter to be my friend, to be free with me and talk to me about anything. I wanted us to share a bond of not only mother and daughter but also friendship, and that is the kind of relationship we have. She is free with me and we are happy.” She explained. “Sisi hujibamba.”
