Wash your face before sleeping

Are you one of the people who are too lazy to wash your face before going to sleep? I normally go to bed and that’s when I remember that I have to take a bath. Or wash my face before sleeping. When you sleep with your makeup on, it blocks the pores and increases the chances of getting acne or pimples. Use a mild face wash, soft soap or just wash with water and clean towel.

  • Steam your face

Heat is a super simple way to soothe your skin if you feel a blemish coming on. You can steam your face at night, or if you cannot do it daily, you can steam twice or thrice a week. Note that, you can steam your face by putting hot water in a basin and covering your head with a towel while you have lowered your face into the basin. The steam from the hot water will remain in the basin.

  • Moisturize and tone your face

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. This is really important as it prevents water loss in your body. Coconut oil is a good moisturizer for your body for a glowing skin. Tone your face after washing. Toner is a skin care product aimed at balancing your skin’s pH. They have soothing skin ingredients such as cucumber and aloe vera. Also apply skin serum on your face, especially that with vitamin C.

  • Eat healthy food/ drink lots of water

What goes into your body matters a lot. Eat healthy food such as vegetables, fruits, milk, for a glowing skin. Some of the foods for a healthy glowing skin include; green vegetables, tomatoes, fish, oranges, sweet potatoes, avocados. Drink water regularly. This is not only a night routine, but an all-day routine. Keep your body hydrated.

  • Visit a dermatologist

If the acne doesn’t go away, despite the above measures that you have taken. You may visit a dermatologist to find what will work out on a long term treatment.
