Boda Boda Riders Hand Over Colleague Who Punched Policeman

Boda boda riders along Bunyala road apprehended their colleague who punched a policeman along Bunyala road and handed him to the police.

In a video that circulated on social media, the rider is seen punching a policeman in the head who was clearing a traffic scene on Bunyala road. The accident that occurred on Thursday 17th evening involved a private vehicle and a motorcycle.

In the video clip, the assailant is heard saying “Hakuna kusameheana hapa” (There is nothing like forgiving in an accident) and is seen punching the police man in the head and taking off. Other riders went after him and handed him to the police.

The boda boda riders said the assailant were some of the few rogue riders who brought bad reputation to them and their business.

This comes weeks after a female motorist was sexually harassed by boda boda riders along forest road after an accident with a motorcycle rider. This had caused an uproar among Kenyans and it prompted President Uhuru to call for a crack down on all rogue boda boda operators by the police.
